Here is a simple letter drop animation that was used in an Amateur Production of Calendar Girls.
It was run on a laptop and projected over the actors as they pretended to grab letters as they fell and read the contents.
Left click on the black space below and hit the space bar to start and stop the simple animation.
This was designed for a 1024 x 768 pixel display and so is displayed here at half size.
The projector was mounted in the lighting box, behind and above the audience so that illuminated the actors and the stage floor. The letters were designed to finish their descent apparently on the stage floor. Lighting obviously needs to be low and the projector reasonably powerful to see the letters.
If you would like to use this for your production, you can download an executable version of this flash here (8.5MB). If you could let us know and put a recognition in your programme - e.g. "Letter animation by Hayling Graphics", that would be much appreciated.
